9:00 – Registration, coffee
9:30 – Welcome, introductions, meeting purpose - Jerry Thomas
Introductions: key team members, new project leader and his/her role, participants in very quick succession.
Key purpose of the meeting: Move forward Extension’s response to Building the Human and Social Capital to Enhance Ohio’s Knowledge Economy Initiative through connecting Extension professionals that are interested in KE programming and research and to develop self-directed teams to address key KE issues and opportunities.
Meeting Objectives:
1.) Introduce KE concepts and meaning; Have a better joint understanding of KE.
2.) The three major areas of interest have an opportunity to build teams and create future directions including programming, research and sharing ideas.
4.) Develop better protocols for staying connected and sharing information. Increase use of the KE website.
10:00 – Overview of the KE Initiative – Bill Grunkemeyer
10:20 – Overview of the KE teams by team leaders. Breakout into teams; sharing of existing programs
occurs in teams
10:35 – Team Breakout. Sharing of existing programs and team planning

12:15 – Continued team breakouts over lunch
1:30 – Teams report back to entire group: 10 minutes each with 5 minutes for group questions
and comments.
